Last Day of Vacation

We finally had great weather again on our last day of vacation.  So we headed to the beach early.

The tide was still very high.  The girls decided to build a barrier to keep it from reaching us.  It was so cute watching the three of them so determined to complete their project.

Fighting the ocean is a lost cause, so they ended up turning it into a little pool for Elizabeth.  She was happy about that!

Caroline once again took her morning nap on the beach.

Elizabeth and Caroline enjoyed building castles in their shade.  Elizabeth was especially helpful in feeding Caroline her snow cone.

We made up for time we lost in the ocean.  Both of my girls are definitely beach babies.

Bert and Caroline headed back for an afternoon nap around 3:00 while Elizabeth and I stayed until 5:00.  Just in time for me to get ready for another date night with my hubby.  We went to Skull Creek Boathouse.  It ended up being our favorite meal of the week.  And the atmosphere and sunset matched!

It was a wonderful way to end our family vacation of 2012.  We are now big fans of Hilton Head.  My main concern was being in a biking community and HH did not disappoint!  There was so much to do with our little girls (even in the rain), and I'm now a huge fan of the east coast beaches!
