Christmas in Nashville

On the day after Christmas, the girls and I left for Nashville to celebrate Christmas with my dad, Di, and sisters.  We were sad to leave Bert behind, but he had to work (insert sad face here).

We got there in time to meet my fam on downtown Franklin at Pieology...yummy!

The tree on the Franklin square is absolutely breath taking!

Sisters!

Cousins!
Friends!

I love being a family of girls... lots of shopping!!

Impromptu roller skating.... priceless

And a little bit of hiking.

Christmas 2016

We didn't get out of school until the Thursday before Christmas, and it was a good day!  My mom and Jim came that day too:)  On Friday, the girls and I took my mom to the square for some ice skating and lunch.  We ran into some sweet friends too.

Mom and I didn't skate, but we enjoyed watching the girls.
My girls ready for Christmas Eve service.

My family on Christmas Eve... oh how I love them so!

Caroline, the wisewoman

Elizabeth, the angel

We always eat hibatchi on Christmas Eve.  The only pic i took was of the kids trying to catch eggs from the chef.

We drove to see Christmas lights before heading home for the night.

Our matching jammies this year came complete with santa hats for the guys.

Santa came!
In the morning i was surprised to see that Santa had brought me a new bike too:)

We hosted Christmas dinner and Bert's family came over.  It was an incredibly warm day so the kids spent the entire day outside on their new bikes.

Christmas 2016 was magical!

Christmas Break

We kicked off Christmas break with a slumber party! Five girls ages 4-7... we baked cookies, played games, and they watched a movie.  I was exhausted, and they had a blast!
We relaxed a lot over break.
We did get out a little too:)

We added new ornaments to our tree!

Our friends Sloan and Greg own their own party bus so we loaded  it up one night and went down to Ponce City Market.  We had a blast!

Fall Semester Comes to an End

Our last unit before exams was "Stress and Health" so I invited an instructor to come in and teach yoga all day to my students.  It was awesome!

I love kicking off our Christmas season at our school orchestra, band, and chorus concert.  They are amazingly talented!
These girls were so excited to be able to go down and be conductors on stage during the concert!

Elizabeth and Caroline came to school with me the morning of SWAG to help set up.  We were ready early so they played a little game with the big kids.
SWAG 2016 was a huge success!

I love my sweet friend and partner in crime!

Caroline with her bestie, Mary, at their school party.

I took these wild and crazy 2nd graders (and Caroline)  home from school after their talent show practice.

Elizabeth with her friends at her class party.

I took these kiddos with me to the grocery store, and they did surprisingly well!  And yes, I used both of the carts to get all of the food we needed for our Christmas celebrations!
