New Year's Eve

This year we had a House Crawl through our neighborhood for New Year's Eve.  Each house had a different theme with beverages and appetizers to match.  It was so much fun!  Our house was the first stop.  We had a casino night theme!

Christmas 2014

We spent Christmas Eve day around the house, and then got ready for our Christmas Eve traditions.  First, we went to the Busby's for their Open House.  I love going there and seeing so many of our friends on Christmas Eve.  Before leaving I tried to get a family picture of us with my self timer.
Getting set u p...

We go to the 4:00 family service where the kids get to be a part of the action.  This was Caroline's first year to be able to be in it.  She was supposed to be a shepherd.  She was NOT a fan, and did NOT participate.  Instead she read the bible (up-side-down) the entire time.

Elizabeth and Brayden were wisemen this year.

Caroline fell asleep on the way to dinner.  Christmas Eve can be exhausting for a 3-year-old!
She perked right up at the restaurant when they gave her chopsticks.
We each tried catching shrimp that the hibachi cook threw our way.  I try to make Christmas Eve go slowly, but it seems to speed by.  The anticipation of Christmas morning is so exciting!
We opened up our new Christmas pajamas when we got home and attempted another family self-timed picture.

Each year the girls show more and more excitement.  The mystery of Santa dropping off gifts was a little overwhelming for Caroline.  She just couldn't believe it.  She almost looked scared when she saw her presents.  Elizabeth, on the other hand, couldn't contain herself and was squealing at a very high pitch!

Big girl panties!  Santa wants her to be potty trained:-)
I made a scrapbook of all the girls autographs from Disney with a picture of them  with that character.  It was fun for me to listen  to them retell the stories of meeting every single one of them like it was yesterday!

Anything Frozen was a hit, especially the Elsa gown!

Another big hit were these fluttering fairies. It's fun for all of us.

Bert's side of the family came for Christmas dinner and the girls were spoiled so much.  They got more Elsa and Anna dress up stuff, pretty new dresses, and a new art easel.

Christmas 2014 was wonderful!

Christmas is Coming!

We have been very busy with Christmas activities!
My students gave me a lot of Starbucks gift cards so I've bought a Peppermint Mocha almost every single day!
We all got Starbucks on Thursday night, put on our jammies, and drove around looking at Christmas lights.  The girls love hot chocolate and Melissa's homemade cookies!

I had a half day on Friday so Caroline and I went to Elizabeth's school and had lunch with her.

Elizabeth and I had a mommy-daughter date on Saturday.  We had lunch on the square at Sugar Cakes, walked around the shops, and then went to watch A Christmas Tradition at the Strand.  It was the perfect date with my sweet 5-year-old.

On Sunday night we wen to Holiday in the Park at Six Flags.  It was so cool!  We all had a blast riding the rides and seeing the lights.  The girls walked around for 6 hours without whining.  That was definitely a Christmas miracle!

Caroline wasn't so sure about riding the North Pole Express.

C was a little nervous about the sky buckets.
E was loved the sky buckets.
The carousel was more her speed!

On Monday we went back to the square to meet Melissa and Reese for lunch at MPC.  We couldn't resist taking some pictures of these three matching cuties!  Then we did a little shopping and went home to rest!  All of this Christmas activity is wearing these girls out!

Elizabeth took a selfie of her and Reese:-)

Today is was so yucky outside that we loaded up all the kids on our street and took them to see Annie.  We all loved it!
Now we are ready to relax a little and celebrate the birth of our King!
