It's Football Time in Tennessee!

Every year we decide on one game to get together with girls from our pledge class.  This year we chose the Kentucky game, and it couldn't have been a more perfect weekend!
We met Friday night for dinner at Tupelo Honey's.

Most of us were staying at the Hilton which is walking distance to everything and has a really cool outdoor bar area with a fire to keep us warm.  We had a great first night catching up.

The next day we woke up bright and early to get to our tailgate. We decided to do the Tennessee Tailgate at Circle Park which is expensive but amazing!

The Hill

We all got free orange sunglasses!

Our tailgate was just on the other side of the Torchbearer.  We got there just as the players were walking through the Vol Walk.  Here I am so very excited to be so close to Coach Butch Jones!!

There have been so many amazing improvements made to the campus in the last 20 years.  I am so proud to be a Tennessee Vol!
The next morning we went to Meghan's to meet baby Zach!  A perfect end to our wonderful weekend.

Melissa and I enjoyed the opening week for Tin Lizzy's!

Elizabeth had her soccer tournament that started way too early for Caroline.

After playing 4 games, these girls were named U8 Champions!

We celebrated by bouncing on the trampolines.

Halloween

I LOVE Halloween!  It's the beginning of all fall celebrations and it includes my whole family and all of our neighborhood family.  With that being said, I wasn't quite as excited this year since it was on a Monday.  But these little people still made it so much fun!
These kids stuck together running from house to house.

We had a family costume planned, but Bert had to teach Monday night so the girls asked to go as pirates.

A little pit stop to try some of their candy.
They ended the night playing on the hill in the sunset.  It was a great evening!

a little trip down memory lane:)

The Saturday night before Halloween we attended an adult Halloween party.  It was so much fun!  There was a costume party, and we won!!!  There were exactly 6 of us who went together so we dressed up like a six pack.  We made the box itself, and it was absolutely hilarious when we all walked in together inside that 6-pack box.

Frightfest

On Sunday before Halloween, we took the kids to Fright Fest at Six Flags.  Our group kept growing and so did the fun!
We are missing a few people in the pic, but this is one fun, fabulous crew!

We told the kids to pretend to be scared.  Caroline didn't have to pretend...sweet girl really was scared.
At the end of October it was still hot enough to enjoy being sprayed by water... crazy weather.

These two road every roller coaster they were allowed to get on.

These 3 giggled their heads off on the "baby" rides.  That was enough thrill for them.
Three mamas enjoying a warm fall day with their families.
riding the sky buckets with my man
Gretchen was the brave soul who rode with all the littles
Bentley was a little nervous about riding her first "real" roller coaster.  Elizabeth kept trying to give her a pep talk as the older (by one year), wiser friend..ha!
This ride was scarier than it looked.  It's called Superman Tower of Power and it reminded Elizabeth of the Tower of Terror at Disney.  There were moments that her face looked so terrified, but she said she loved it!
