Today was supposed to be a rainy day, but thankfully it stayed dry until about 2:00. Instead of heading to the beach first thing, we decided to bike down to Harbor Town for breakfast at the bakery. While we were waiting, Caroline took many unsteady steps around the patio. Everyone started cheering for her. She was so proud of herself. I was too slow grabbing my camera so this picture was the best I could get before she started crawling.
After breakfast, we went on a boat tour looking for alligators. Elizabeth is somewhat obsessed with them. She was so excited!
They had a head of an alligator that you could "play with" on the boat. |
I didn't have my zoom lense on so these pictures are from their true distance. Even Caroline got excited over all of the beautiful, unique birds. We were the only ones on the boat, so it was like a private tour.
Afterwards, Caroline and Bert went to the condo to nap while Elizabeth and I biked to the beach. Mandy and Rebeka were biking on the beach so they joined us too. We stayed for about an hour or so before the rain came.
Tonight, the big girls babysat the little girls for us so Bert and I could go out on a date. We went to Old Fort Pub. It was really nice and fantastic food. Even with the pouring down rain, the sunset was beautiful. My phone picture doesn't do it justice, but it was wonderful to watch it set while we ate dinner.
