Elizabeth woke us up at 6:30 this morning ready to go to the beach. We were able to put her off until around 9:00. Our bikes won't be delivered until tomorrow, so we walked to the beach today.
Caroline settled in under our umbrella with her daddy's goofy hat.
And Elizabeth immediately started building sand castles under her tent.
Caroline's first time touching the ocean!
Elizabeth was not too thrilled about the ocean waves (which were tiny today). But she did love the very long beach that the low tide provided. The east coast is perfect for small kis because of the little pools of water everywhere. Elizabeth ran through them all day, and Caroline loved playineg in and trying to eat the sand.
I love how Caroline is looking at her sister in this picture. |
Elizabeth was checking with Caroline to see if she was okay to let go of her hand. She may be the fiestiest three-year-old ever, but she adores her sister. |
Caroline took her morning nap on the beach, but we headed back at 2:00 for both girls to take an afternoon nap. Caroline slept, but Elizabeth refused. So we headed out for an early dinner at The Crazy Crab. We ate yummy crab legs, then walked around Harbor Town. We were home in our pjs by 8:00. I love vacation!
Elizabeth turns into a crazy person when she lacks sleep! |
