Fairy Princess Ballet Camp

Elizabeth was in Fairy Princess Ballet Camp this week. She had a blast! I love that she had so much fun and that her teachers were my students. As cheesy as it sounds, it me feel like where we live is a small little community where everyone knows everyone. I love it!

Movie Day

Yesterday we went with some friends to see Monsters University. It was Caroline's first time at the theater and she sat still and quiet through the entire thing! Riley and Elizabeth shared their popcorn and were especially thrilled over the air dryers in the bathroom. Silly girls.

Date Night

Saturday night we had a long over due date night.  One of our neighbors rented out our clubhouse to celebrate her 30th birthday.  So we started there.

Then we went to Red Sky for some tapas and dueling pianos.  Since the weather was so nice we decided to drive the jeep.  We never do that anymore, but we should because it was so much fun!  We felt so young and cool:))

Our Week

It's crazy how much I love Target but have never shopped at our Super Target.  It's really not close, but I had to give it a try.

Elizabeth had her follow up appointment at the ENT.  She still has a lot of fluid in her ears which is why they think she is failing her hearing tests.  Dr. Gower also thinks she has a chronic sinus infection.  So we are on antiobiotics for 3 weeks and nasal spray for 6 weeks before going back to retest her.  Then we will discuss possible tubes and removal of her adnoids.
We've made a lot trips to the grocery store for fresh fruits and veggies.  I caught a rare moment of the girls being super sweet in the check out line.  This is when they are usually begging for treats.
Every time we go the Y, the girls march around the flag pole singing "Ring  Around the Rosies."

We went to White Water this week by ourselves.  It was actually relaxing and n ice to go at our own pace.  I had a lot of fun playing with my girls and we were ALL worn out by the time we left.
Elizabeth and I made brownies during Caroline's nap time:)

Day on the Lake

Last Saturday we rented a party yacht and a ski boat and spent the day out on the lake with family and friends.  These pictures are in no particular order.  I'm just glad to have some from this relaxing and fun day!
Alana and Elizabeth's cute booties.  They were so excited!
Caroline helped her daddy drive the yacht and Eli helped my dad drive the ski boat.
Reese was our sun bathing beauty.
Watermelon babies
James Henry liked being the spotter.
Elizabeth felt like a pro after tubing with her daddy.  So she wasn't scared at all to go with Hannah and Rebeka.
Melissa, Kelly, Me, Katy
Trent, Bert, Chris, and Clint
The kids even had fun deflating the rafts.
Eli and Elizabeth... our little dare devils!
Care Bear getting some kisses from her Aunt Rebeka

Elizabeth was either going non stop or eating the entire day.

Bert pretty much stayed in the lake catching all the kids coming down the slide.

My dad spent the day pulling everybody behind the ski boat.  I felt bad, but he was in his element!

Seriously, this girl is fearless!

Bert's brothers couldn't make it, but his dad did:)

My little family on in the lake.

The Brumbaughs

The Hills
I don't have a picture of the Southerns or my parents and sisters.  I brought my camera, but never got it out.  I was at the mercy of everyone else.  Thanks Mel for taking these!

Sparkles

Today we met Melissa and some of her playgroup at Sparkles Skating Rink.  Wednesdays is Tot Day.  You bring anything on wheels that's not motorized and they provide the huge skating rink for the kids to play.  Elizabeth and Caroline had a blast!
Standing in the middle of the rink

This little girl was quite full of herself today!

Elizabeth was in her element.  I think it's about time to start teaching her to ride without the training wheels.

This was her first time in any kind of skate.

After about 2 minutes, she was trying to do tricks and twirls.  That girl is such a thrill seeker!

Caroline, on the other hand, basically froze as soon as they went on her feet!

Elizabeth, Caroline, and Reese

BFFs having a little chat:)
Afterwards we went to Sonic.  Sonic is not close to us, so when we're anywhere near it, I must have it!

Look at Caroline's jealous little face.  I'm just not sure if she was jealous of her sister or of Reese.
Then C basically ignored them.

What a fun play date!

Weekend Recap part 1

On Friday night, Bert had a work reception and my parents were coming in from Nasvhille.  So me and the girls joined some neighbors for dinner and drinks at the pool.  I love going to the pool in the late afternoon especially when lots of our friends are there.

Elizabeth feels like a big girl because she can touch in the shallow end.  Caroline literally just sits there in floats on her belly.  She doesn't really have the coordination to keep herself vertical so she just grunts at Elizabeth to pull her where she wants to go.  Needless to say, when C is off the steps I have to be within arms reach!
Kid pic from Friday night
They used the steps to have a picnic.
We stayed until 8:00 which is way later than normal.  I quickly washed them in the shower, put their jammies on, laid them in bed, and they were out!  I think it was record time for preapring for bed time.  We may have to make that a regular Friday night activity!
