Almost Summer

School is out but we had in service this week. Instead of paying for daycare, I had one of my sweet students come babysit the girls. They had so much fun going to the pool and the park. A great way to start off the summer and I loved getting picture updates!

Nashville Zoo

While we were in Nashville last weekend, we went to the zoo with the Odoms.  We couldn't have asked for better weather or company!
They look like old married tourists sitting down to discuss what attraction they will visit next.  Ha!

Elizabeth said riding the carousel was her favorite part.

E insisted on tucking in her shirt for most of the day!

Matchy Matchy!

Lunch break

Will and Elizabeth went on their first date... a solo train ride:)

Will rode with Caroline for a bit and got her to finally loosen up.  He had her giggling like crazy!

I'm not a zoo person, but I can do this!  I beautiful day with awesome friends... I actually enjoyed the zoo!

Memorial Day

After a quick trip to Nashville this weekend, we decided to spend the day together relaxing as a family.
We hiked Kennesaw Mountain this morning which is something we used to do a lot.  I forgot how much I loved it!
We were all worn out, so we went home and took good naps.  Then we headed to the pool.  So many of our friends were there which made it fun for the adults and the kids!  Our neighbors had us over afterwards for a cookout.  For such an active day, it really was relaxing.  Just the way Memorial Day should be!

Final Graduation

After 34 years, my parents are finally empty nesters!  Rebeka graduated this weekend, so we headed to Franklin to celebrate with her!

While we waited on everyone to get ready, Hannah gave Elizabeth a little guitar lesson.

The girls lasted about an hour, right after Rebeka walked across the stage.  So we took them outside to burn off energy in the beautiful weather.
my little dare devil

I clearly forgot Caroline's diaper cover and she did NOT like being pulled away from me to take a picture.  Ha!

I love this picture because I caught them all laughing with real smiles!

Sweet CeCe's

It was a beautiful day in Franklin, TN today. After Rebeka's graduation, lunch, and naps, we headed to the square. We walked around and then stopped for some yummy frozen yogurt!

Last Day of School 2012-2013!

Fun in the Sun

We've already been to the pool twice this year and we are spending a lot of time outside in general. Basically, any activity in the sun is fun for the Kelly girls!

They are a little tired of mommy being sick for a few days and watching cartoons.

Speeches and Sickness

I have been especially sick this year. I just had strep throat 3 weeks ago and this week I got the flu...again. Apparently it is a different strand, but I assure you, equally miserable. From Sunday to this morning I ran a fever and coughed so much I thought I was surely going to break a rib! When I went to the doc, my oxygen level was low so she gave me a steroid and new inhaler. By 3:00, I felt human again.
On Monday night I pumped myself full of enough medicine to get me through my baccalaureatte speech. I actually think feeling so miserable kept me from being too nervous. It went really well which was definitely a God thing. Our yearbooks came out last week too and there were three pages I want to remember and since I won't be paying $85 I took pics of them.

They did a page on me and Maddie, one of my all time favorite students! Another page on Mr. and Mrs. Pope who I adore and had in class together. I was asked to share some words about them for the yearbook. And another page was dedicated to our WinShape field trip. I love my job, my students, and my school. I especially love that my own kids get to be apart of it all too. We went to two soccer games an a baseball game last week.

I took this picture of E in front of Pope. I hope to put this in her senior yearbook one day!

Elizabeth's School Concert

For about a month now Elizabeth has been talking about her "Rock Star Concert."  At first I was confused.  Then I learned that for their end-of-the-year celebration, they were dressing up like rock stars and performing for us.

Here is one of the 4 songs they sang.  This one was pretty funny:)

Ms. Yasmin and Ms. Shauna with Elizabeth

After the "rock star" part, the kids changed into homemade costumes from different countries.  Elizabeth represented Turkey.

They handed out superlatives to each kid.  Elizabeth was the only one who got two!  She was named "Most Theatrical" and "The Social Butterfly."  I wasn't surprised by either, but I was glad to know we aren't the only ones who think she's dramatic!!

Camille is moving and Elizabeth is not happy about it!  She was actually crying on Friday when I picked her up because "Camille isn't coming back to school."  She might be dramatic, but she is all heart!

Best Buddies- Lilly, Elizabeth, Camille

Afterwards, we went to eat at Cherokee Cattle Company.  Caroline was a sweet pea through the entire performance and dinner!  It can be hit or miss these days, so I was very grateful!!

Our Saturday

Elizabeth had her end-of-season soccer party at Marietta Pizza Company on Saturday.  The girls were so excited to get thier trophies.
Elizabeth's first trophy!

Saturday afternoon we went to the Brumbaughs.  We ate BBQ, played corn hole, and when it got dark the kids watched a movie in the basement.  Every time they have a get-together I never know who has more fun-- the adults or the kids!

First Dip of the Season

After dinner tonight, me and the girls headed to the pool for their first dip of the season.  Four other neighborhood moms and kids went too.  It was a bit chilly still, but Elizabeth kept up with the "big" kids just fine.  Caroline just sat in the chair with me the whole time which was just fine with me!

Sick Day

I slept last night holding Caroline in her recliner because she was coughing so much. No fever. Just constant coughing. I stayed home with her today and besides the cough, she seems to be feeling good. So we went grocery shopping. I think she just needs some extra mommy time!

Hand Washing

Caroline shares her sister's obsession with hand washing. Every time we come inside from playing, they head straight for the sink.
