Bert's dad turned 70 on New Year's Eve.  We invited him along with Bert's brothers' families to Blue Ridge Mountains to spend a couple of days and celebrate!  It was a really great getaway spent mostly in our pjs snacked a lot, ate yummy meals, and played games.

When we got there, there was snow on the ground so the kids made snow balls and drew on the deck.

Caroline did not get enough attention while we were there!  Ha!

It doesn't look like it in this picture, but Elizabeth had a blast playing with Alexis and Mackenzie.  They are so sweet to her and made her feel like such a big girl.

We had planned to take Bert's dad on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway trip but the only seats available were not enclosed.  So we decided to wait until spring to take the trip.  Then we went to Brasstown Bald which is the tallest point in Georgia.  We didn't stay long because it was freezing... litterally.

It was also windy which is why I look like I have bed head!
