The Zoo

We went to the Atlanta zoo for the first time ever today with our friends Jessica and Kathryn.  It seemed like most of the animals were resting somewhere other than where we could see them.  But the petting zoo was a big hit!

On Monday, Elizabeth went with me to the doctor's office for a prenatal visit for the first time.  She basically sat in my lap during the whole thing.  She was pretty fascinated with hearing the heartbeat.  She asked the doctor for "more".

Staying entertained while we wait

On a different note, I want to remember this funny Elizabeth story from this morning to share with her one day.  It actually started yesterday morning, but we were unaware at the time.  Bert took all the trash cans from the house and dumped it into the big trash can before taking it out to the curb.  He was in a hurry, so he left our little bathroom trash can sitting next to the kitchen trash can.  Then, last night we realized that our bathroom trash can was no where to be found.  We were completely dumbfounded.  Until this morning, when Bert wondered why the kitchen trash was already full and decided to take it out.  Low and behold, we found that the bathroom trash can had been thrown away inside the kitchen trash can.  Elizabeth takes after her daddy in her desire for everything to be clean ALWAYS.  When she sees something out of place, she often takes it directly to the trash can.  But we never thought she'd throw the trash can out!  From now on, when anything's missing, I will start my search with the trash- yuck!
