Girls Weekend 2016

We usually go on our girls trip over MLK weekend.  But this year we went to Annapolis to see Kristy so we wanted it to be a little warmer... so we chose Memorial Day weekend.  It was perfect!
Melissa and I on our plane.  So grateful to fly with her... eases my mind!

Kristy had monogrammed crab wine glasses made for each of us.
Cheers!
We make shirts for each girls weekend.  This year we dedicated them to Jessica who was supposed to be there with us but wasn't because she was just diagnosed with colon cancer.  #obic

Our first night we just sat around eating and drinking and waiting for everyone to arrive.
Friday morning we packed up and drove to D.C., checked into our hotel, and then began our sight-seeing day.

We ate our lunch picnic style:)
After a long day touring our capital city, we all went back to shower and get ready.  Katy and I showered first so we went back down to the bar to share a drink and an appetizer while we waited on everyone.  So nice to relax and enjoy adult conversation!
We walked to dinner at Jaleo, a Spanish tapas restaurant... yum!

Since LeeAnn lives in Spain, we let her order for all of us.

After dinner we were walking to our next stop and Kristy kept talking about how short she felt next to Mel and I... so we took a pic.
We went to the bar on top of the W so I took this selfie to send Bert.  What a view!

On Saturday morning, we left D.C. and went back to Annapolis to have brunch overlooking the bay.  It was gorgeous!

One of my favorite new adventures that has become one of my favorites is stand up paddling.  It was awesome!

On Sunday, Kristy's husband took us out on their boat.

On the last night we ate at Level in downtown Annapolis then we walked around downtown.  I had never been to Annapolis before, but I fell in love.  It had all the charm of a small town and the entertainment of a large city.  Plus I made many amazing memories with my favorite people!
