I am so excited for Mackenzie and her family, but sad to know they will be so far away in Brazil. One thing I know for sure is that we always pick up right where we left off no matter how much time goes by.
We may or may not have bribed them with presents to get them to all sit and smile at us:)

The girls went to school on Friday (instead of Thursday) this week. Bert picked them up and we met at CFA for dinner at 4:30 (talk about early bird special)! After everything that happened on Friday in CT, I couldn't stop kissing and hugging on them. Of course, they didn't know why I was being so clingy but they sure did love it when I said "yes" to icecream!
Saturday was my high school's 5th annual Shop with a Greyhound. It takes a lot of preparation from a lot of people to make this day happen. This is the only picture I had time to take while we were setting up. These are some of my SGA kids who work so hard and always make everything so much fun!
We raised over $20,000 to take 150 under-privileged elementary students shopping for Christmas presents. It's more than just the shopping. They spend the whole day with our students pouring love and attention on them. The end of the day is so emotional and often quite tearful.
On Sunday morning, we had a little Going Away Brunch for Mackenzie who is moving with her family to Brazil on the 29th. It was low key and relaxing. We had a blast watching our kids play together. They even put a show on for us. Cabe was the emcee while Lea, Elizabeth, Will, and Gaines performed on cue. Elizabeth and Lea even put their dress up clothes on for the big show!
We actually did get some pictures of all the kids looking in the same direction before we ate. I'll post those later since they're not on my phone. The one that was on my phone, is this one of the girls watching Rudolph while they waited for their friends.
Tonight it was rainy and cold. We decied to put the girls' jammies on and drive around looking at Christmas lights. Bert found some houses on tackychristmaslights.com. They were indeed tacky!
The last one was pretty impressive. It was coordinated to music and everything. The girls loved it!
Yesterday we had plans to meet the Hills on the Marietta Square after church so we could get a picture of our 3 girls on Santa's lap. We got in line which was at least an hour long, then Santa decided to take a lunch break. We decided that it was about the picture (not Santa) so we jumped out of line and took some pictures by the Christmas tree on the Square instead. Good Decision!

Love these girls! It's wild to think that Caroline was Reese's exact age this time last year. They grow up so fast!
Elizabeth adores "Baby Reese". She didn't even care that we didn't see Santa. She just didn't want to let go of Reese.
Trying to get a family picture is next to impossible these days. I just love pictures that show how truly crazy it is around here!
Caroline kept rejecting Elizabeth every time I tried to get them to take a picture together. That girl is definitley forming her own opinions these days!
I love the memories our girls will have with each other sharing so many traditions!
Today we went to Lenox to visit Santa. This is the same Santa since Elizabeth's first visit. They changed the background this year, but I still think he such a sweet Santa.
At first I thought Caroline might warm up to him. At least enough for me to sneak out of the picture.
Not so much.
She wouldn't even look at him.
Elizabeth hugged him when she was Caroline's age too. She's my hugger.

Usually while we're there, we ride the Pink Pig. There was an almost 2 hour wait, so we decided to skip it and try again later. Elizabeth was not happy with this decision.
By the time we got to dinner, she was over it and both girls were pretty much delirious. Too much excitement for one day!
